Modern Handmade In-Frame Shaker Kitchen in Underwood, Nottinghamshire

This modern take on a traditional handmade in-frame shaker kitchen was designed and built by Butterworth & Martin during the Summer of 2024 for our own busy Nottinghamshire family home.

The space was carefully designed to suit a multi-level ground floor layout, creating a practical kitchen that works for everyday family life while maintaining a timeless and elegant feel.

Farrow & Ball Painted Finish

The kitchen was professionally sprayed in Farrow & Ball colours Slipper Satin and Pigeon, creating a soft and elegant colour palette.

These muted tones work beautifully with the natural light in the room and give the kitchen a calm, timeless appearance.

Integrated Appliances & Bora Hob

To keep the design sleek and uncluttered, the kitchen includes integrated appliances and a Bora hob, providing modern performance while maintaining the kitchen’s traditional aesthetic.

A pantry / breakfast cupboard was also included in the design to provide convenient storage and organisation for a busy family home.

Brushed Brass Finishing Touches

The kitchen is completed with brushed brass hardware, adding warmth and a subtle contemporary contrast to the painted cabinetry.

These finishing touches help elevate the overall design while maintaining the timeless feel of the space.
