Nottinghamshire Barn Conversion

Requirements:
  • High quality finish

  • Bespoke carpentry

Our client required our second fix joinery services for the completion of their barn conversion.

From the external cedar cladding to flooring, hanging doors and bespoke touches inside, such as creating a bespoke barn door and handcrafting our client’s unique choice of hallway panelling, this job deserved a luxurious finish, and that it got.

Timescale to completion: 6-8 weeks.

“We have just completed a new build/ barn conversion in Brinsley. Butterworth and Martin did an absolute outstanding job with the cedar cladding and the entire 2nd fix joinery. If we had known about them before the build started we would have asked them to manage and complete our entire build.
You will not find better joiners on this planet. Their attention to detail is phenomenal. We were never let down, there was nothing they didn’t have a solution for. They completely turned our build into something to be proud of.
We had ikea wardrobes and Shaun handmade all the coving and panels to make them look fitted.
They made us a barn sliding door from our scaffold planks which we love. They did a top job fitting all our herringbone wood floors.
Shaun designed, cut, sanded and erected all the bedroom and hallway cladding, the hallway cladding is a work of art (see picture).
They were left with many challenges from the builders. The doorways were very awkward sizes and un level, but they pulled it off and the doors, skirting and architrave look quality. The cedar cladding is perfection.
We experienced many trades whilst doing this self build, and our experience tells us that tradesmen like Butterworth and Martin are few and far between. They are reliable and take pride in their work, and the only tradesmen that actually tidied up at the end of the day!
I have great pleasure in writing this review as we will be forever grateful for their hard work and dedication in making our house a home and taking the stress away. I don’t know what we would have done without them.
